Refresh, Rinse, Re-wash

Do you know the difference between these 3 R’s?

Do you know how and when to incorporated them within your haircare regime?

Here's some information that may help...

REFRESH

Refreshing the hair is almost like a “quick fix” for your hair. To refresh the hair, you simply spritz with water or water and aloe vera mix, then apply leave in conditioner to smooth and moisturise. You can then add hair butter or natural oils to seal the moisture in, then the hair is ready to style, or re-style. This action can be carried out every 3-5 days depending on your hair, the style you have, and your lifestyle.

RINSE

Rinsing the hair is so important as water can help revitalise and hydrate the hair. You can rinse the hair with warm water to help cleanse and then add conditioner to give it a moisture boost. This is known as co-washing and is a short cut using conditioner only and rinsing to improve the condition of the hair. This action can be carried out in between shampoo wash days, some people like to co-wash one week and then shampoo the next. Co-washing in great however, conditioners are not designed to cleanse the hair, so eventually you will need to shampoo to avoid build up on the hair and scalp.

RE-WASH

This is simply re-washing the hair with all the steps required; pre-conditioning, shampooing, conditioning, leave in conditioner, sealing and then styling. We advise using a sulphate free, gentle shampoo for the hair and follow it up with conditioner and leave in conditioner that have been formulated to work together. We recommend that you fully wash your hair every 10 -14 days

From our knowledge and experience, refreshing, rinsing, and re-washing are vital actions that need to be taken on your journey towards healthy hair.
